We use energy-efficient solutions and technologies to reduce energy consumption and minimise CO₂ emissions.

• 100% green electricity and a smart, ecological energy mix (PV systems, CHP)
• LED lighting in all areas of the building
• Night lighting in corridors and public areas (greatly reduced)

We pursue sustainable waste management, which includes recycling and the reduction of single-use plastic. We also prefer to procure products that are characterised by sustainable, environmentally friendly properties.

• Digitisation of reservation confirmations, invoices and guest folders
• "Thinking before printing" notice in our email correspondence

We are actively involved in the local community. This includes supporting local organisations and creating jobs. In a city like Hamburg, which is known for its historical significance, cultural diversity and unique architecture, the responsibility of hotels to be both environmentally conscious and to preserve local heritage is becoming increasingly important.

Below we have put together some tips on how you, as our guests, can also protect our cultural heritage:

• Use our hire bikes or public transport to get into the city.
• Avoid environmental pollution and dispose of your rubbish properly.
• Favour sustainable tourist activities, such as visiting small art galleries, local craft shops or historical tours.
• Share cultural heritage respectfully by ensuring that when you take photos or videos of cultural landmarks, you do not damage cultural or historical values and do not violate the privacy of others.
• Respect the preservation of monuments and historic buildings, for example by not damaging the facades.
