There is a lot to discover in Hamburg's city centre: Museums, theatres and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, the Speicherstadt warehouse district, which has been declared a Word Heritage Site, the modern Hafencity and, of course, our landmark - the Hamburg Michel. The nearby Stadtpark and the traditional park "Planten un Blomen" are very popular, especially in summer, as is Hagenbeck's zoo.
The best thing to do is to discover the Hanseatic city for yourself and get your own impression. There is something to explore in every season and as they say in Hamburg: that's not wind, that's just a little gust.

Take a trip to the 148-hectare Stadtpark and visit one of the open-air concerts in the summer months, enjoy an Astra at the Stadtparksee lake or book an event at the planetarium. There are many possibilities here.

The Elbphilharmonie is Hamburg's new landmark and attracts many tourists. Not only because of the two impressive concert halls, but also because of the view from the plaza and the architectural masterpiece, long queues often form in front of the entrance area. A visit to the Plaza is free of charge, but guided tours and tickets should be booked in advance.

Anyone visiting a musical in Hamburg for the first time will definitely be a repeat offender. It is not without reason that Hamburg is known as a city of musicals, as several theatres stage different performances at the same time, making for an unforgettable experience. Schmidt Theatre, Schmidt's Tivoli & Schmidtchen
The Schmidt theatres on the Reeperbahn promise the best entertainment for young and old - true to the motto "quirky, shrill and charming". Visit one of the many performances: be it a musical, comedy, show or gala. The long-running favourites "Heiße Ecke" and "Cavemen" are particularly popular not only with tourists but also with Hamburg residents. For little theatre fans, we recommend the seasonally changing performances at the Schmidt Children's Theatre.
